BRIGHT HEART (OLENE SRCE). One of the well-known and time-tested Bulgarian varieties, which has earned popularity due to its stability, taste, and impressive fruit size. The variety has been cultivated for decades and is rightfully considered a classic among large-fruited heart-shaped tomatoes. The fruits are large, beautifully heart-shaped, deep red in color, weighing 300-700 g, with individual specimens possibly being even larger. The flesh is very meaty, dense, with a minimal amount of juice and seeds, aromatic and rich in flavor. The bushes are powerful, well-leafed, up to 1.5 m tall, with regular foliage.
The skin is thin and delicate, yet the fruits do not crack and retain their marketable appearance excellently after harvest, tolerating storage and transportation well. The plant forms large fruits consistently, even under high load. The variety is mid-late, characterized by very high yield and a long fruiting period. Ideally suited for fresh consumption, salads, slicing, sauce preparation, and home cooking. Valued for its combination of large fruit size, excellent taste, and reliability — a true benchmark of Bulgarian breeding.
