OLIVE BERRY. This variety belongs to the unique family heirloom series “BERRY.” It is a true family treasure of a Ukrainian family, where these unusual cherry tomatoes have been grown for around 50 years. Despite the huge number of modern varieties and hybrids available today, traditional family varieties like this are especially valuable for their history, unique flavor, and special atmosphere. This is a mid-early, indeterminate variety with a vigorous, well-developed, spreading plant. In the open field, the plant can easily grow over 2 m tall.
The trusses are simple and semi-complex, numerous, with 10 or more fruits per cluster. The tomatoes are small, weighing about 20–25 g, and set abundantly and consistently, making the variety highly productive and reliable. The fruits are very attractive — when fully ripe, they develop an unusual emerald-bronze color. The tomatoes are fairly firm, yet juicy and aromatic, and are completely resistant to cracking. The flesh is also emerald green, with a rich spicy-fruity flavor and pleasant sweetness.
