RED BULL. An early-ripening, high-yielding sweet pepper variety, notable for its vigorous growth and large, fleshy fruits. The period from germination to the beginning of fruiting is about 95 days, making this variety an excellent choice for regions with a short summer. The plant forms a strong, well-leafed bush 1.2-1.5 m tall, depending on growing conditions. The fruits are large, uniform, and cube-shaped.
The average fruit weight is 200-250 g, but with proper care some peppers reach 300-350 g and even 400 g. The fruit diameter averages around 9 cm. At the technical maturity stage the fruits are dark green, and at biological maturity they turn an intense bright red. The walls are thick — 6-8 mm, juicy, aromatic, with a distinct sweetness. These qualities make the variety especially attractive to those who appreciate meaty and rich-flavored peppers.
AGRONOMY
The variety shows good resistance to major pepper diseases and bears fruit stably even in less favorable seasons. It is grown through seedlings. Transplanting (pricking out) is carried out at the 1-2 true leaf stage. After planting under temporary film tunnels or in open ground, the plants should be tied to supports and the lateral shoots and lower leaves up to the first fork should be removed — this improves ventilation and helps form larger fruits.
This variety is excellent for fresh consumption, salads, stuffing, and thanks to its thick walls, it also performs very well in freezing and canning. A universal variety that shows great results both in home gardens and in commercial production.
