SHUNTUK GIANT. This is a mid-season variety intended primarily for growing under protected conditions. The plant is indeterminate and vigorous, reaching about 2 meters in height, so it requires pruning, shaping, and reliable support during cultivation. The fruits are impressive in both size and attractive shape. Each truss usually produces 3–4 large red tomatoes with a flattened-round shape and slight ribbing. The average fruit weight ranges from 400 to 800 g, while under good growing conditions the variety can produce true giants. The tomatoes have dense, meaty flesh with few cavities and a high proportion of juicy fruit pulp.
They have a pleasant, rich flavor and are excellent for fresh salads, slicing, and other dishes where large, meaty tomatoes are especially appreciated. The variety is also well suited for processing. Its fruits can be used to make flavorful homemade tomato juice, thick tomato paste, lecho, and other preserves. With proper growing practices, the yield can reach around 15 kg per plant, making this tomato an interesting choice for growers who enjoy large-fruited varieties.
