SULTAN'S SHOES YELLOW. An original tomato variety bred by Sofia Saakova, developed from the cross Pink Tulip × Orange Walk. This variety immediately attracts attention with its unusual fruit shape, bright golden-yellow color, and characteristic genetic variability. A mid-early, tall indeterminate variety. In open-ground cultivation, plants reach approximately 1.8 m (6 ft) in height, forming vigorous, well-developed, and highly productive plants. The fruits are elongated, up to 18 cm (7 in) long, with a distinctive elegantly curved pointed tip resembling traditional oriental sultan's slippers. The average fruit weight is 100–150 g (3.5–5.3 oz).
When fully ripe, the tomatoes develop a rich golden-yellow color, smooth skin, and an excellent marketable appearance. The flesh is dense and meaty, with very little juice and small seed cavities. The flavor is sweet, rich, well-balanced, and exceptionally pleasant. The fruits hold their shape well, making them ideal for fresh eating, salads, roasting, stuffing, and attractive culinary presentations. Sultan's Shoes Yellow is an outstanding collector's variety for enthusiasts of original breeding, unusual fruit shapes, and ornamental tomatoes with exceptional flavor. The variety is not yet fully stabilized and may exhibit segregation in fruit color.
