TATYANA’S YAKHONT. A variety bred by Tanya Nagle, one of the lines obtained through cross-pollination. This is a mid-season variety with a compact plant that reaches approximately 1.3 m outdoors. Each truss produces 3–4 fruits weighing around 150–200 g, with an average overall yield. The fruits have a round, flattened shape and an unusual three-color coloration. The shoulders are densely covered with anthocyanin, while the lower part of the fruit is decorated with a combination of inky, orange, and green shades that form a bright pattern with expressive streaks. This coloration makes each fruit highly decorative and distinguishes the variety from other anthocyanin tomatoes.
When fully ripe, the flesh becomes dark red, uniform, aromatic, and very meaty. There are few seed cavities, so most of the fruit consists of dense, juicy flesh. The flavor is rich, with a pronounced tomato aroma, pleasant sweetness, and a slight acidity. The balance of sweetness and acidity makes the tomatoes suitable both for fresh eating and for attractive presentation in salads. A rare anthocyanin variety that combines a compact plant, unusual coloration, and a pleasant, rich flavor. Anthocyanin pigments give the fruits their characteristic dark coloration, while the vivid three-color pattern makes this variety particularly interesting for collectors.
