TODD COUNTY AMISH, USA. Indeterminate, mid-season, high-yielding variety. The plants are tall but not very wide, well covered with foliage. The fruits are large and very large, pink on the outside and inside, neat, and crack-free. Fleshy, multi-locular, very juicy, tasty, sweet with a tangy note, and pleasantly aromatic. By the end of August, plant height in open ground reached 2.2 m. The tomato grew in a less than ideal spot but showed its best qualities. Very productive, juicy, fleshy, tasty — suitable for fresh consumption and for juice making.
And here’s what Gary Ibsen, from whom we purchased the seeds, says about this variety: These wonderful tomatoes are truly magnificent — heavy and meaty. They have solid pink flesh and very few seeds. Sweet, with very little acidity and a wonderful, rich flavor. A magical tomato that grows really well in our cold Pennsylvania climate. The average fruit weight is 500 g (up to 1 kg), very neat with minimal cracking for such large size. We were very impressed with this tomato.
