OXHEART, VOLOVSKO SRCE. A famous Slovenian variety, highly valued by collectors and lovers of large, sweet tomatoes. Early-ripening and high-yielding. In open ground, plants reach about 1.5 m in height, forming strong, vigorous, well-leaved bushes that easily support the weight of numerous large fruits. The fruits are large, pink, beautifully elongated-heart shaped, meaty, with a rich, well-balanced sweet flavor and a pleasant aroma. Average fruit weight is 200-500 g, while some specimens can reach 600-670 g.
The flesh is dense, juicy, and sugary, with few seeds, making it ideal for fresh eating, slicing into salads, as well as processing into sauces and juices. The yield is consistently high, with abundant clusters bearing 4-6 large tomatoes each. The variety is unpretentious, tolerates weather fluctuations well, and is resistant to major diseases, making it an excellent choice for both home gardens and commercial cultivation.
