WINTER AMETHYST. An absolute novelty from Ukrainian breeder Ruslan Dukhov. This exceptionally striking variety immediately attracts attention with its unusual fruit coloration. The tomatoes have a deep purple, almost eggplant-like color that gives them an exotic appearance. This intense coloration is associated with a high anthocyanin content. The fruits look especially beautiful when cut open — beneath the dark skin is bright orange flesh, creating a striking contrast.
The plant forms a strong, medium-sized bush reaching up to 1.2 m in height and adapts well to different growing conditions. The fruits are large, round, fairly uniform, and weigh approximately 250–300 g on average. The flesh is dense, meaty, yet juicy at the same time. The flavor is rich and distinctly tomato-like, with pleasant sweetness and a subtle fruity note, making these tomatoes excellent for fresh eating. Another interesting feature of the variety is its good storage ability.
Under suitable conditions, harvested tomatoes can be stored until mid-February, allowing you to enjoy the crop even during the winter months. This is an especially valuable quality for growers who want tomatoes not only for the summer table. The large fruits with dense flesh are excellent for salads, slicing, stuffing, and making thick homemade sauces. Their unusual appearance, good flavor, long storage life, and attractive marketable appearance make this variety an interesting choice both for a personal collection and for growing for sale.
