YELLOW BARN. A tall, mid-season, and productive tomato variety. In open ground, plants reach a height of about 1.6 meters, forming strong, robust, and well-leaved bushes. Leaves are typically tomato-like, medium-sized, and densely arranged, providing good shade for the fruits and promoting even ripening. The fruits are bicolor, large, and very attractive, with yellow skin and a light pink blush. The fruit core is pink, while the juicy flesh is a rich yellow color.
The fruits have excellent juiciness and a sweet taste, highly appreciated by gourmets and collectors. The average fruit weight ranges from 300 to 400 grams, making them perfect for fresh consumption, salads, slicing, and decorative plating. This variety was introduced as part of the "Mexico" tomato seed collection by Bruce von Order (Freeville, USA) and was included in the Seed Savers yearbook in 2005. It is notable for its high yield stability and decorative fruit appearance.
