ZAILIYSKIY ALATAU RED. This variety was bred by the breeder Vitaliy Alifirov. The red and yellow forms are completely identical in yield, fruit shape, and flavor, differing only in color. A striking representative of indeterminate tomatoes, combining strong growth vigor, stable productivity, and truly outstanding taste. The plants are powerful, well-leafed, and grow over 2 meters tall, developing quickly and producing evenly throughout the entire season without losing productivity even at the end of the growing cycle. The variety is mid-season. The fruits have a very attractive appearance — an elongated shape with a distinct sharp “nose” makes them eye-catching, easily recognizable, and highly decorative.
Each cluster typically sets 3-4 large fruits weighing 150-300 g. The key advantage of this variety is its flavor. The tomatoes are exceptionally sweet and rich, with a deep classic tomato aroma and minimal acidity. The flesh is dense, meaty, and buttery, without any watery texture, making the fruits ideal for fresh consumption as well as for thick sauces and slicing. The red form is rightfully considered one of the best-tasting large-fruited tomatoes. The fruits stand out for their excellent market quality: smooth, intensely colored, firm, crack-resistant, and free of green shoulders. They store well and tolerate transportation, making the variety suitable both for home gardens and commercial production.
