AJI LEMON. A bright and aromatic Capsicum baccatum pepper variety that perfectly lives up to its second name, Hot Lemon — “hot lemon.” It combines noticeable heat with an unusual fruity flavor featuring fresh citrus notes of lemon and lime. The heat level is approximately 30,000–50,000 Scoville Heat Units.
The fruits are especially striking as they ripen, developing a rich lemon-yellow color and truly resembling small, bright lemons. Thanks to their unusual color and elongated shape, the plant has a highly decorative appearance. The variety originates from the highland regions of Peru and is considered one of the most aromatic representatives of this pepper group.
The plant forms a compact bush approximately 60–90 cm tall, so it does not require much space and is well suited for growing in the garden or in containers. The fruits can be used fresh, added to sauces and various spicy dishes, where their fruity-citrus aroma is especially pronounced.
With the arrival of early autumn, the plant can be transplanted into a pot and continued growing indoors, allowing you to enjoy its fragrant harvest. Thanks to its bright fruits, rich aroma, and combination of fruity flavor with pronounced heat, this variety will be a real highlight in any collection of unusual hot peppers.
