BEAUTIFUL ROSE, BELLA ROSINA. A wonderful heirloom Italian tomato variety with a mid-season ripening period. The plant is tall, reaching 1.6–1.7 meters. The fruits are deep dark pink, moderately firm, and very meaty. Their shape resembles the classic tomato “heart,” with few seeds inside. The weight ranges from 300 to 700 grams, but in some cases, fruits can reach up to 1 kg.
This tomato has a rich aroma and an intense, very sweet flavor — typical of traditional Italian varieties. It is a determinate (bushy) type with high productivity. The plant is resistant to diseases and has excellent flavor qualities. Suitable for both open field and temporary shelter cultivation. Perfect for fresh salads, juice processing, sauces, pastes, and also for canning.
TOMATO FEATURES
The fruits are heart-shaped — a single cluster may include both tomatoes with neat “tips” and those with plump cheeks. When fully ripe, they turn deep raspberry-colored, with a smooth, flawless skin. Tomatoes are large, and even larger on upper clusters. The flesh is dense, reminiscent of watermelon in texture. The taste is rich and sweet, without any bitterness.
This variety has a long fruiting period and tolerates temperature fluctuations well. However, during intense heat, it may drop some flowers. Despite the thin skin and tender flesh, the fruits store well — they can be kept for 2–3 weeks without losing their flavor. The only drawback is that the fruit contains very few seeds. Recommended for open-field growing.
