BIG DADDY. An early-ripening sweet pepper variety of Russian breeding, suitable for growing in open ground and greenhouses. The plants are compact, bushy, on average 50-80 cm tall, undemanding in care, and characterized by stable and high yield. The ripening period is about 90-100 days. The fruits are cone-shaped or cylindrical, with 3-4 lobes, weighing 100-150 g, 8-10 cm long. The walls are of medium thickness — 5-8 mm. The flesh is juicy, dense, sweet, with a pleasant aroma, without spiciness.
During ripening, the color changes from bright purple to dark red, sometimes passing through orange shades. The smooth, glossy skin gives the fruits a particularly attractive appearance. The fruits are rich in vitamins A and C, store well, and are versatile in use — suitable for fresh consumption, salads, hot dishes, and processing. The variety is valued for its ornamentality, excellent taste, and stable harvest.
