BUFFALO SOLDIER, USA. A unique variety developed by Bill Jeffers as a result of selective breeding from a segregating line, originally created by crossing "Indian Stripe" with "Big Cheef F1". Mid-season tomato variety. Plant height in open ground exceeds 1.5 meters. Fruit weight ranges from 250 to 660 grams. The fruits have excellent taste: a pronounced fruity aroma and a rich, sweet flavor with virtually no acidity.
The flesh is dense and meaty, resembling the "Stone Flower" type — firm, yet juicy, buttery, and extremely flavorful. This is a multi-locular tomato with thin but strong walls. The interior reveals a beautiful pinkish-pink shade. The skin is thick and resistant to cracking, ensuring good shelf life and transportability. After a week of storage, the flesh turns dark pink, becoming even more tender and aromatic. Seeds are large and present in sufficient quantity.
TASTE & YIELD
The taste deserves special attention: balanced and sweet, with pleasant tomato freshness and fruity notes. This variety is a true gem for any garden and will delight every grower. The plants are strong and vigorous, with potato-like foliage and impressive stature.
Its main strength lies in its abundant harvest of large, flat-round fruits with a deep red-brown color. Ideal for fresh consumption, slicing, salads, and for elegant presentations and festive dishes. On the tasting scale, the flavor scores a solid 5 out of 5, and a touch of salt makes it simply perfect — a confident top mark!
