DOROTHY’S BIG MENNONITE. Is one of the traditional tomato varieties originating from the Mennonite community. It is known for its consistency, high yield, and excellent flavor. A mid-season variety, fruits ripen about 110-115 days after germination. The plant is indeterminate, vigorous, and strong, reaching a height of 1.5-1.7 meters. It requires staking and forming into 1-2 stems. Fruits are very large, weighing between 300 and 700 grams, sometimes more. They have a round, slightly flattened shape with gentle ribbing near the stem. The color is a rich pink with a matte sheen — highly attractive.
The flesh is dense, sugary, extremely meaty, almost seedless, with very little gel. Its texture resembles that of a ripe watermelon or peach — smooth and melt-in-your-mouth. The taste is refined and rich: very sweet with a pleasant fruity tang. Perfect for fresh consumption, as well as for gourmet sauces, juices, and pastes. A true culinary delicacy — a standout discovery of the year for tomato collectors and connoisseurs. Recommended for greenhouse and open-field cultivation with proper support.
