BLONDE WITH BIG BREASTS (OSU O BLONDE AVEC TETONS). A mid-season, highly productive variety with a very original name. The plant is strong, 1.5 meters tall, with large clusters of 7–8 fruits each, weighing 150–250 grams, dense and uniform! Color: deep red; shape: large plum with a pointed tip and slight anthocyanin showing on the shoulders.
More sun means more anthocyanin. In low light, it may not appear at all. Having grown large plums before, I feared the flavor would be bland. But upon seeing the rich-colored flesh and smelling its aroma, I realized my fears were unfounded. The taste turned out to be exceptionally sweet, the flesh dense, buttery, very meaty — the tomato overall is insanely delicious!
As of today, this is one of my favorite large plum varieties! Universal use: excellent thick dark juices and pastes, great in salads, and even suitable for canning (if they fit in the jar). Transport is easy enough. Top marks for taste! Top marks for yield! There are many sweet tomato varieties of different sizes, colors, and textures.
