SCARLET HEART (АЛЕНО СЪРЦЕ). Tall, high-yielding, mid-season Bulgarian variety, demanding in terms of soil calcium content. Plants are vigorous and moderately leafy, producing numerous medium-thick, well-branched shoots that reliably support a heavy crop. Flower clusters set every 2-3 leaves, ensuring stable and prolonged fruiting. In open ground, plants easily exceed 2 meters and require sturdy staking and regular tying. The first ripe fruits appear as early as July 20-22, an excellent timing for a large-fruited variety. Tomatoes are large, weighing 300-700 g, deep red and distinctly heart-shaped.
It is important to let them fully ripen: despite the bright-red skin, the flavor reaches its peak only at full biological maturity. The flesh is exceptionally meaty, multi-chambered, and dense, yet tender, with a thin, almost weightless skin. The taste is well-balanced, combining sweetness with a pleasant tomato tang and an intense, rich aroma. Fruits do not crack, transport well, and keep their market quality for a long time after harvest. Seeds are plentiful enough for further propagation. This variety proved to be one of the favorites of the 2023 season, repeatedly confirming its outstanding flavor and yield characteristics.
