ZAPOTEC PINK RIBBED. A new variety from 2022, originating in Mexico, it immediately attracts attention with its unusual shape and striking appearance. This is a mid-season variety that takes approximately 80–90 days to mature. The indeterminate plant forms a strong, spreading bush about 1.5 m tall, so it requires sturdy support and timely tying.
The fruits have an original pear-shaped form and very pronounced ribbing, developing an attractive pink color when fully ripe. The tomatoes can reach approximately 250 g in weight and look unusual not only from the outside but also when cut open. Their strongly ribbed shape gives each fruit a decorative, almost sculptural appearance.
The flesh is juicy, tender, and sweet, with a pleasant, rich flavor. The fruits look especially impressive when sliced: their unusual shape and beautiful internal structure make them a real highlight of the summer table. They are excellent for fresh salads, slicing, and sandwiches.
The variety is known for its good productivity and will appeal to those who enjoy unusual large-fruited tomatoes. Its Mexican origin, vigorous bush, pink pear-shaped strongly ribbed fruits, sweet flesh, and spectacular appearance when sliced make it a striking addition to any tomato collection.
