TURKEY. A rare Turkish family heirloom, with seeds originally obtained in France. This variety is truly unique and highly valued by collectors. The plant is indeterminate, mid-season, and stands out for its high productivity and attractive potato-leaf type foliage. According to foreign experts, tomato varieties with potato leaves show greater cold tolerance and adapt better to temperature fluctuations, which makes this variety especially valuable for regions with unstable climates.
In open ground, plants reach a height of 1.7-1.8 meters. They are strong but not overly dense, which makes care and pruning easier. Each plant produces many large fruits — small tomatoes are practically absent. The fruits are outstanding pink beefsteaks, round-flattened in shape, with a thin, tender yet strong skin resistant to cracking. The flesh is meaty, juicy, with few seeds, and of a deep pink color. The flavor is rich, sweet, well-balanced, with a light fruity note.
The fruits have a very pleasant fresh aroma. Their weight ranges from 350 to 700 grams, though larger specimens are often found. This variety is excellent for fresh eating, salads, slicing, juices, and sauces. Thanks to its meaty texture and vivid flavor, it is considered one of the best beefsteak varieties of the season. The plants perform equally well both in open ground and in greenhouses, ensuring a stable harvest even in less favorable years.
