THE TRUE OX HEART OF BOLOGNA (VERO CUORE DI BUE DI BOLOGNA). An Italian novelty of the season. A classic representative of the "ox heart" group, combining large fruit size, fleshiness, and rich flavor. The variety is tall, mid-season. The plants are vigorous, forming large fruits weighing 300-600 g. The tomatoes are dark pink with a reddish sheen or pink-raspberry, with varying degrees of heart shape and slight ribbing. The shape is lively, natural, without deformations. The fruits are dense, not prone to cracking. The flesh is solid tomato "meat," tender and sweet, with a minimal number of seeds.
The structure is dense, rich, practically without voids. This is a true salad tomato with a pronounced dessert flavor. The taste is harmonious, sweet, bright — a confident 5+ points. In our plantings, instability in color was noted. Some plants produced pink fruits, others more red, with the red-fruited ones being more numerous. At the same time, no differences in shape, taste, or other characteristics were observed. The instability may persist in subsequent generations. In the presented photos — fruits of the red variant. Meaty, sweet, impressive, and worthy of a place in any collection.
