DOMINGO (USA). A family heirloom originating from Italy, this unique tomato variety has been passed down through generations, preserving its rich history and exceptional flavor. It is an indeterminate variety, with mature plants reaching over 1.5 meters in height. It requires staking and pruning. The plant has a strong structure and dense foliage, providing natural protection against sunscald.
This is a mid-season variety — approximately 110-120 days from sprouting to the first harvest. Fruits are very large, typically weighing between 400 to 800 grams, and with good care and blossom thinning, they can exceed 1 kg. The shape is round with pronounced ribbing near the stem. The color is deep red. The flesh is dense, meaty, and nearly hollow-free, with good crack resistance.
YIELD AND FLAVOR
Flavor is one of the main highlights: rich, full-bodied, with bright sweetness and a hint of acidity. Balanced and rated 5+ by tasters. Perfect for fresh salads, thick and aromatic tomato juice, gourmet sauces, and pasta. Domingo is highly productive, reliably forming large clusters of uniform fruits.
With proper care and nutrition, it can deliver impressive yields even in less favorable seasons. A true showstopper among tomatoes — it attracts attention not only for its size and shape but also for its appearance. Frequently featured in exhibitions and highly valued by collectors and rare tomato enthusiasts.
