MAGIC NUT. An original new variety created by Ukrainian breeder Oleksii Kulyk as part of his author's series "My Ukraine." Its extraordinary coloration, compact ornamental fruits, and vibrant fruity flavor make it a true treasure for collectors. Every fruit truss looks as if decorated with tiny colorful ornaments, while the fruits impress equally with their appearance and exceptional taste. A mid-season indeterminate variety with a strong, well-foliated plant. In open-ground cultivation, plants reach about 1.4 m (4.6 ft) in height.

The broad foliage provides excellent protection against sunscald. The variety is distinguished by high productivity and an extended fruiting period, producing numerous trusses throughout the entire plant. Particularly impressive are the beautiful clusters bearing 7-8 fruits weighing 50-70 g each. The tomatoes are predominantly elongated egg-shaped, although occasional round-flattened fruits may appear, which is a natural varietal characteristic. The fruit coloration is remarkably complex and highly decorative.

The deep purple background is adorned with emerald-green and red stripes, creating a unique multicolored pattern. Fully ripe fruits develop an intense dark purple color, without green shoulders, and show excellent resistance to cracking. Their smooth surface and uniform shape provide outstanding market appeal. When sliced, the fruits reveal attractive bicolor flesh with 3-4 small seed cavities. The fruit walls are thick, meaty, and extremely juicy. The skin is firm yet so thin that it is barely noticeable when eaten.

FLAVOR

The flavor is rich, harmonious, and exceptionally aromatic. Pronounced fruity sweetness combines with delicate spicy notes to create a bright dessert-like flavor profile. The flesh is extremely juicy, tender, and aromatic, literally filled with sweet juice. To fully appreciate its outstanding flavor, fruits should be harvested only after reaching full maturity, when they develop their characteristic deep purple coloration. They are perfect for fresh eating, salads, decorative vegetable platters, gourmet tastings, and whole-fruit canning.
