PINK FROM BARBASTRO (ROSA DE BARBASTRO). A relic from Barbastro, Huesca, Spain, this is a unique tomato variety considered one of the best in the world. In 2014, it was officially recognized as a “national brand of Spain” and received its own logo for easy identification. This variety is mid-season and indeterminate, meaning the plant continues to grow and produce fruit throughout the season. High-yielding, with regular leaves, it reaches about 1.5 meters in height in open ground. The fruits are round, slightly flattened at the poles, weighing between 250 and 500 grams.
The flesh is tender, pink, firm in texture, with few seeds, making it ideal for salads, sauces, and even drying. The taste of this variety is exceptional: bright, rich, sweet with low acidity. It is not just a sweet tomato but a perfect balance of sugar and acidity, making it one of the tastiest fruits of the season. It is especially recommended to try it with a pinch of salt — the flavors open up to their fullest. The plant shows excellent uniformity in fruit size, making harvesting and use easy. We plan to grow this variety every year for culinary purposes, as its taste and quality never fail to impress any gourmet.
