FIRE KATYA. A striking original variety bred by Sofia Saakova, which was at the F6 stabilization stage in 2024. The variety was named after the breeder's neighbor Katya, beside whose fence these plants were first grown. Today it is one of the most spectacular anthocyanin heart-shaped tomatoes, captivating with its intense fiery coloration, outstanding flavor, and remarkable ornamental appeal. An early-midseason indeterminate variety with vigorous growth. In greenhouses, plants easily exceed 1.9 m (6.2 ft) in height, while in open ground they develop strong, well-shaped bushes with sturdy stems and reliable productivity.

The variety is distinguished by excellent vigor and good yields. Fruits weigh 150-200 g and have an elegant heart shape. Their base color is an intense bright scarlet-red, resembling dancing flames. The shoulders are heavily covered with a matte ink-purple anthocyanin blush, creating a spectacular contrast that makes the fruits especially eye-catching. In sunlight, the tomatoes appear to glow from within, radiating warm fiery tones that fully justify the variety's name.

During the stabilization process, some plants produced elongated plum-shaped fruits, indicating that the variety is still completing its final stage of stabilization. Such minor segregation may occasionally continue, which is a natural characteristic of young breeding lines. When sliced, the fruits reveal a uniform bright red flesh matching their vivid exterior. The flesh is dense, juicy, meaty, with small seed cavities and a pleasant buttery texture.
