GOLDEN SWORD. A new, rare variety. A truly impressive and unusual mid-late variety that immediately catches the eye with its shape and complex coloring. The plant is more compact than most indeterminate rarities, yet very powerful and robust. The bush is wide, sturdy, with well-developed, spreading foliage. In open ground conditions, it reaches a height of about 1 meter and holds its fruit load well. The fruits are plum-shaped, strongly flattened, with deep, pronounced ribs along their entire length. The shape resembles an ancient broadsword or dagger — hence the aptly chosen name of the variety.
The average fruit weight is usually 150-200 g, but they often reach 250-300 g, especially with good care and fruit thinning. The coloring is very complex and "premium": the base is bottle-green, with a deep chocolate-purple blush, especially pronounced at the tip of the fruit and in the ribs. The color is difficult to describe in words — it changes depending on lighting, stage of ripeness, and weather conditions. Even in photographs taken in rain and without sun, the fruits look truly luxurious and decorative. The flesh is dark red, dense, meaty, with a minimal number of seed chambers and very few seeds.
The consistency is juicy but not watery — a perfect balance for a rich flavor. The flavor is excellent and fully justifies the appearance: a pronounced tomato taste, deep, sweet-sour, refreshing, and rich. The taste is clean, without hollowness, with a pleasant aftertaste. Excellent for fresh consumption, salads, thick sauces, and attractive slicing. The yield is moderate, but the variety is definitely valued not for quantity, but for shape, color, and taste. Golden Sword is a collector's tomato, a true visual and gastronomic highlight of the garden. A variety you want to grow again and again
