🌱 HOW NEW VARIETIES ARE CREATED

Creating new tomato varieties is a long and painstaking job for breeders and scientists.
It all starts with selecting parent plants with the desired traits: for example, one line may be resistant to diseases, and the other may have excellent flavor and beautiful fruit color. Then, specialists perform cross-pollination, collect the seeds, and carefully analyze them.

The best plants are grown again and tested for resistance, yield, and their ability to adapt to different climate conditions. After all trials, a promising variety is propagated for sale, registered, and officially protected.

Thanks to this, you can be sure of the authenticity and quality of the seeds. Modern methods of molecular breeding and genetics help speed up the process — but even so, it can take several years from the first idea to the appearance of a finished variety.
